Air Peace has strengthened collaboration with Dutch Aviation Trainers to improve crew training efficiency and operational standards.

This is contained in statement issued on Thursday in Lagos by the airline spokesperson, Mr Efe Osifo-Whiskey.

Osifo-Whiskey said the engagement reaffirmed Air Peace’s commitment to operational excellence and continuous alignment with global aviation best practices.

According to him, discussions centred on pilot training collaboration, particularly for the airline’s Boeing 737 NG fleet operations.

He explained that Dutch Aviation Trainers currently handles training for Air Peace pilots operating Embraer E1 and E2 aircraft types.

Osifo-Whiskey noted that the renewed engagement would deepen an existing partnership aimed at improving technical expertise and flight operations standards.

He described DAT as a globally recognised Aviation Training Organisation specialising in Boeing and Embraer aircraft training programmes.

According to him, the organisation provides comprehensive type-rating programmes and specialised courses designed to enhance pilots’ operational proficiency in line with international aviation standards.

Osifo-Whiskey stated that the organisation had also trained pilots for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and AMAS Airlines, among other international carriers.

He said the partnership reflected Air Peace’s strategic focus on maintaining a highly skilled workforce capable of meeting evolving global aviation demands.

According to him, the collaboration would support the airline’s drive to deliver safe, reliable and exceptional services across domestic, regional and international operations.

Speaking during the engagement, Air Peace Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Allen Onyema, reaffirmed the airline’s commitment to human capital development and safety.

Onyema said continuous investment in training remained central to the airline’s long-term operational vision and expansion strategy.

“Our commitment to continuous training is part of our broader vision to maintain world-class operational standards across our growing fleet and route network,” he said.

The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Dutch Aviation Trainers, Paul Ten Hof, also engaged Air Peace management on future training collaborations.

Ten Hof discussed additional capacity-building opportunities aimed at strengthening pilot competence and enhancing operational efficiency within the airline. (NAN)
